Master of Arts in Teaching - Elementary
Social Studies
This program is designed for individuals with bachelor’s degrees in one of the Social Studies disciplines who are seeking teacher certification. Social Studies Education offers only a major for Elementary or Secondary Education.
Secondary majors and minors are also offered for in the individual Social Studies disciplines of Economics, History and Political Science.
Students in this program receive the Michigan Provisional Certificate while earning credits toward the Master of Arts in Teaching Degree (M.A.T.).
