Language Proficiency Testing in the English Language

Completion of the English as a Second Language Education endorsement courses is not sufficient for the (NS) endorsement.  All persons seeking the English as a Second Language endorsement (NS) in conjunction with the Master of Education Program must also must also show language proficiency in English as measured by The Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) Basic Skills and  pass The Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC)  English as a Second Language (NS).

Second Language Learning Experience Documentation

Candidates must document experience learning a second language in order to gain an understanding and appreciation for the processes of learning an additional language.
