The M.Ed. program is designed to provide professional preparation for individuals with bachelor's degrees in Art and who seek a Master's Degree in Visual Arts Education. Students applying to this program must have received the Michigan Provisional Certificate in Visual Arts education prior to application. It is possible to teach full-time while earning credits toward the Master of Arts in Education degree.
To be considered for the M.Ed. program in Art Education, applicants must present evidence of:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Visual Arts Education, Studio Art, or Fine Arts from an accredited college or university.
- Verification of Teacher Certification.
- An overall honor point average of 3.0 or higher.
