Hear from our graduates, and current TeachDETROIT students, about our program!
From Kaity, class of 2016:
I just wanted to shoot you all an email to give you an update on how my 1st year is going. Boy, is it ever so much harder than I ever could have imagined, but it is just as rewarding. Still can't believe I get paid to do this :)
We spent the fall learning about scientific method and experimental design. We are now doing our year's life science: anatomy and body works.
We have been having a blast! In November, I held my first field trip to Imagination Station in Toledo-- SO fun! Today I led my first dissection, with a second following in January.
I wouldn't be here with out you all and I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am for your guidance and support!
I am attaching a couple photos from my classroom, two from a "Homer-o-Stasis" homeostasis lab and one from our dissection :)
Thank you all so much
From Tiffany, class of 2016:
Life as a teacher has been very challenging but rewarding as well. I love it and I know that I was destined to be an educator.
I've attached a picture below I thought you'd might enjoy. We learned about Kwanzaa all month long and they presented the seven principles and sang a song about Kwanzaa in the Holiday program. I was very proud.
