Masters Plan of Work
Applicants admitted to a Counselor Education Masters degree program must complete 60-76 semester hours, depending upon the individual's background, professional goals and area of concentration or area of interest. The graduate adviser may require additional course work and/or educational experiences. Outlines of recommended minimum programs in the concentration or area of interest are included in this statement. These outlines are consistent with national accreditation and State of Michigan licensure standards. Requirements for the Masters degree must he completed within six (6) years following admission to the Graduate School. Courses outside of the Counseling department are required of all students.
For the protection of the student, an advisor's approval is required before registering for any course until a plan of work has been approved by the advisor and the Division of Academic Services.
