Susan Lynn LaGrois
An employee of Wayne State University since October 1962, over 45 of those years in the College of Education. While working full-time, I served as Secretary to the Dean beginning in 1981 to 1999, and later (in 2001) was assigned as a professional assistant in the Dean's Office on a part-time basis.
Prior to being assigned Secretary to the Dean, I served as Secretary to the Educational Leadership (now Division of Administrative and Organizational Studies) Division Head (Assistant Dean); previous to that as Senior Secretary to Dr. Roy Robinson, Director of the College’s Office of Field Services; and was hired initially in 1962 as a Junior Secretary for the Division of Health and Physical Education (now Division of Kinesiology, Health and Sport Studies). From 1970 to 1985, I also provided clerical assistance on an additional service assignment basis to the faculty secretary of the College's Faculty Assembly, attending regular meetings of the Executive Committee and Faculty Assembly; this responsibility also entailed the preparation and distribution of Assembly meeting materials and various information.
Major responsibility is working with the office of Development for the College of Education.
