Sports Administration Degree Requirements

Degree: Master of Arts in Sports Administration

Specialization: Interscholastic, Intercollegiate, Professional, Commercial

Requirements: A minimum of 30 credit hours are required. An Internship OR Master's Thesis is also required.

  • SAM 6661 - Equity and Access in Sport 3 Cr. 
  • SAM 6570 - Sports Marketing 3 Cr.
  • SAM 6660 - Risk Management in PE and Sport 3 Cr.
  • SAM 7540 - Concepts of Supervision and Management 3 Cr. 
  • SAM 8750* - Internship in Sports Administration 6 Cr.

  • SAM 7300 - Interscholastic Athletic Directing 3 Cr.

Graduation

One of the last steps you need to take before receiving your degree or certificate is to apply for graduation. Applications for graduate degrees must be made not later than the fourth week of classes for the semester in which degree or certificate requirements are to be completed. Graduation deadline dates for the semester in which candidates are completing doctoral degree requirements are issued on receipt of the application by the Graduate Education Office.
