Sports Administration Admission Requirements

Application Form

Complete the graduate application by the deadline (June 1 for Fall semester, October 1 for Winter semester).

Official Transcripts

You must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 to be considered for admission to the Graduate School. Wayne State University must receive official transcripts from ALL previous colleges you have attended; you'll need to contact your school to order these transcripts to be sent to WSU.  You must submit these in the original sealed envelope sent from the colleges. Please allow 4-6 weeks for all official transcripts to be received.

Resume

Submit a current resume along with your application.

Personal Statement

Submit a one-page statement of your professional aspiration stating your purpose for applying to the program.

Other Considerations

The admission committee reviews all applications individually.  We admit students to the program with undergraduate degrees from a variety of disciplines such as physical education, business administration, journalism, marketing, economics, communications, or other relevant majors.  If you have questions about admission criteria, please contact a Sports Administration advisor
