Teacher Certification

Within the PE-PAL program there are many ways to achieve physical education certification. The path you take depends on where you are in your current studies.

Bachelor’s Degree Major (PE certification)

Bachelor’s Degree Minor (Other Education Major; Minor in physical education)

This minor may be elected by students completing any teaching major, however, students must complete the minor at the level appropriate for their particular teaching major and have approval of a physical education adviser, i.e., secondary majors complete the secondary course requirements, and elementary majors complete the elementary course requirements.

Students not involved in a teacher certification program may elect a kinesiology minor only after consultation with a program adviser.

Elementary Physical Education Minor Plan of Work (K-5)

Secondary Physical Education Minor Plan of Work (6-12)
