Careers

The Physical Education – Physical Activity Leadership program has two different Master degrees that are offered at Wayne State. The Masters of Education (M.Ed.) specializing in PE-PAL enables students to develop knowledge and skill in the latest teaching and research of physical education and physical activity. This degree could be used to further the knowledge of current physical education teachers and physical activity leaders or prepare students to advance into a Ph.D program in physical education. The Masters of Art in Teaching (M.A.T.) allows students who have a bachelor’s degree in a different discipline to obtain teachers certification in physical education, while earning a master’s degree.  Students who obtain a M.A.T specializing in physical education move on to teach and coach in the K-12 physical education setting.
