Exercise and Sport Science

An undergraduate degree in kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise and Sport Science is a pre-professional program that prepares students for a variety of careers.  Upon graduation, students may secure careers in clinical, professional and university settings, such as cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, cardiovascular diagnostic testing, corporate/ commercial fitness facilities, as well as entrepreneurial opportunities.

Furthermore, with proper advising, you can prepare to apply for graduate programs in medical, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and many other health science fields.

Physical Education and Physical Activity Leadership (PE-PAL)

An undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Physical Activity Leadership prepares students for careers in K-12 Physical Education, physical activity leadership positions in community-based physical activity organizations, and graduate studies in related fields such as Sport Administration, Adapted Physical Activity, Education Leadership, etc.. In the PE-PAL program students may choose to complete their undergraduate degree with a student teaching experience and be eligible to earn teacher certification in K-12 Physical Education and/or complete a Physical Activity Leadership Internship. Students in the PE-PAL program can also choose to pursue certification in Adapted Physical Education as a part of their undergraduate studies.
