Master of Education With a Major in Kinesiology and a Concentration Exercise and Sport Science
Exercise and Sport Science is discipline encompassing several distinct areas including Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Motor Control/ Development /Learning, Measurement and Evaluation, and Sport and Exercise Psychology. Competency in one of these areas requires that the student be able to remain current in the field via the ability to use and produce research results and to apply these results in practical situations. A Master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science in one of these areas will enable the student to function in a variety of professional positions including college/junior college teaching, community service, or entry into a doctoral program. The Exercise and Sport Science program at Wayne State University is designed to prepare students for careers in one of the above areas listed above.
