Study Abroad
The College of Education has expansive and varied Study Abroad opportunities to offer its students. Those who participate in our global study programs often have life-changing experiences. Whether you are interested in a new cultural experience that will reframe the way you see the world, wish to improve skills that will help you land a job in your chosen profession, or want to earn credits toward your degree outside of a campus classroom, the College of Education likely has an international program that will fit your needs.
Because the College of Education’s theme and mission emphasize the importance of diversity in our teacher preparation and other professional programs, we encourage our students to participate in a Study Abroad course if at all possible. A global experience will help you learn about the cultures of others, respect the differences you encounter, meet and listen carefully to a wide variety of people, provide opportunities to understand and appreciate the values, perspectives and deeply-held beliefs of others and, in so doing, perhaps re-examine your own. A student who fully engages in all of the opportunities a Study Abroad experience offers will become the thoughtful, reflective educator the College of Education has as its goal to produce and employers seek to hire.
