Admission to the Education Specialist certificate program is based on:
- 2.8 undergraduate GPA or 3.25 graduate GPA
- Resume/curriculum vitae
- Personal statement
General admission information can be found at the WSU Graduate School.
The admissions procedure begins with submission of the Application for Graduate Studies.
2. Personal statement
The program requires completion of a personal statement. Applicants should speak about their background and interest in a degree in Learning Design & Technology. This statement is submitted to the university with the graduate application.
Transcripts from all colleges, universities and schools attended must be sent to Wayne State University before any action is taken on the admission application.
While the admission process usually works well, problems do occur. The process typically takes 6-8 weeks. Applicants are encouraged to follow their application process online or by contacting the Office of Graduate Admissions at (313) 577-3577, Academic Services at (313) 577-1909 and the LDT program at (313) 577-1728.
Permit to Register: If there is a delay in processing your application, please call the LDT program at (313) 577-1728. A Permit to Register may be given to qualified students. A Permit to Register allows a student to take classes without being formally admitted to the program.
