Qualifications for Program Admission

Applicants for the program must:

  • Hold a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 2.6 or a graduate degree with a 3.0 GPA or better
  • Have current State of Michigan teaching certification
  • Be able to implement their teaching plans in a P-12 setting
  • A 3.0 GPA or better is required to complete the endorsement

Admission Process

Current WSU graduate student (admitted to a graduate program and taking classes):

  • Complete Endorsement Plan of Work for your chosen Path 
  • Have Plan approved by an Endorsement advisor
  • Submit it to Room 489 Education so it can be placed in your existing file.

Returning WSU graduate student (completed a graduate degree and now seeking the endorsement):

New to WSU and want the Endorsement (with a graduate degree):

  • If you choose to also pursue a graduate degree while completing the Endorsement, you first must apply for the graduate degree desired through graduate admissions. Once admitted to the University, follow the directions above for current WSU graduate students to apply for the Endorsement.

New to WSU and want only the Endorsement (not with a graduate degree):

  • Complete and submit an application to the Graduate School.
    Select Education as your "College Desired"
  • In the "Name of Major" section, your major should be Non Degree PreMasters (if you do not yet have a Masters) or Non Degree PostMasters (if you already have a Masters).
  • Your area of concentration or specialization will be Educational Technology Endorsement (sample)
